Visual check of the construction and structure - detailed list of work for the builder to finish the property to a good standard.

Structure

• closely checked, looking for cracking to the main walls and floors – for early signs of settlement

• Main roof attic area – is roof frame properly arranged and supported.

Remainder of Property

Building work, such as, 

• Leaving floors reasonably level ready for your flooring contractor, 

• Checking bedroom windows are properly sized for fire rescue purposes

• The attic area – is sufficient insulation laid, are pipes insulated and is the roof watertight

• Fitting doors and catches correctly, 

• Touching up paintwork, 

• Finishing off the exterior of the property to a good standard,  

• Finishing off the drive and garden areas

 Any shortcomings you notice can be added to the draft list

Property Legal Map - Checked

• Physical boundaries of the property are measured and checked against the legal map

• If an error occurs, the onus and cost will be upon the builder to correct the map
